Season overview

Arne Slot’s first season brought Liverpool’s 20th league title. A 5–1 home win over Tottenham Hotspur on 27 April secured the championship with four matches remaining. Liverpool finished with 84 points, ten ahead of Arsenal, winning 25 league games. Mohamed Salah scored 34 competitive goals, including 29 in the league; Cody Gakpo and Luis Díaz contributed 18 and 17 respectively.

Federico Chiesa joined from Juventus, while Fábio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg moved to Brentford. Liverpool won seven of their eight Champions League league-phase matches, but Paris Saint-Germain eliminated them on penalties in the last 16. Newcastle United won the League Cup final 2–1 at Wembley, and Plymouth Argyle ended the FA Cup campaign in the fourth round.

The parade account uses the contemporary emergency-services statement only for the event, location and injuries. Changing injury totals, initial suspicions and later court proceedings are not repeated.

Selected transfers only. Mamardashvili’s arrival from Valencia is recorded in 2025–26 in line with the transfer ledger’s effective date; no claim is made about when the agreement was reached. Unverified contract-expiry destinations and fees are omitted.
