Notes on the record
Graham’s 21 competitive goals and 54 appearances are corroborated by Liverpool FC’s obituary and LFChistory. Friendlies are excluded.
Whitham’s arrival came after Liverpool’s final league fixture and is included with 1970–71. Lindsay and Lloyd had signed during 1968–69 and are not duplicated here.
The Watford defeat is recorded without claiming that it alone caused the rebuilding of the team. Hunt had already departed, and changes in goal and personnel need their own chronology.
